Joshua, RMT
Josh received his massage therapy certificate from Mount Royal College. Completing a 1087 hour program, he studied Anatomy, Kinesiology, Ethics & Professionalism, Pathology and Orthopedic Assessment. Once he begun his education he found himself on the path to his true calling.
Josh has a very physical & active lifestyle and you can often find him hiking, camping, snowboarding, biking or taking up other sports. His active lifestyle gave Josh his first contact and interest in massage since he has endured many broken bones, ruptured and torn muscles, ligaments and tendons. These past injuries led him through countless hours of physiotherapy and massage therapy, to help him regain mobility after all his physical trauma. Josh's experience with rehabilitating his own body has given him a unique perspective of the treatments he now uses as a massage therapist.
John, RMT
"I believe one of the greatest things that I can bring to a therapeutic session is my focused intent. This intention centers on re-establishing the vital communication between the body and mind. Delving deep into the tissues to correct imbalances and restore proper functioning, clients are able to experience greater range of motion and freedom from pain and tension. With less mental focus on pain and tension the body and mind are able to function together on a myriad of healing and restorative processes. I have always thought that the beauty of massage lies in it being such an impactful form of therapeutic exchange."
John Reed grew up in southwestern Ontario. John's training occurred at The Darcy Lane Institute for Massage in London, Ontario. It was there that he discovered the art and application of Swedish massage techniques. The two year included studies in Physiology, Anatomy, Hydrotherapy, Kinesiology, Pathology, and Professionalism and Ethics.
In September of 1996, John moved to Calgary to begin his career in Massage Therapy. His focus with his clients mirrors his personal focus on wellness through balance. Just as the muscular system needs to be balanced to reduce strain and stress on other parts of the body, so do all aspects of ourselves to achieve true wellness.
